Recognised by Golf's largest Publication
We’re happy to report that even the gurus at Golf Digest agree.
Our new SD-01 balls have just been included in Golf Digest’s annual Hot List for 2023, making this the first time Seed has won recognition in the magazine’s highest award.

THE EVERYMAN'S PREMIUM GOLF BALL
As good as anything out there, at a price everyone can afford™.
The ultimate combination of tour distance & control.
This 3-Piece 85 compression tour ball is long off the tee(Max USGA & R&A distance) with a buttery soft feel with the spin control you need.
About seed balls
Seed golf balls are designed in conjuction with DesignCORE and EngCORE from our base at the South Eastern Technoligal Universty (SETU) in Ireland.
DESIGN
Premium, professional quality golf balls are really difficult to make.
And that usually means they’re expensive.
At Seed, our products are developed by a small team of industry experts, young designers and experienced engineers. We focus on a core product range, offering maximum performance for the best value around.
We are obsessed with lowering the cost of premium balls, no doubt about that, but we’re just as obsessed with performance. It’s one of the reasons our SD-01 was named as the Official Ball of the PGA EuroPro Tour. We make every effort to provide the best possible value for you, within an proven design concept.
Choosing the right ball can be confusing, so rather than offering ten (or twenty) different golf ball models, we focus on the best model for a specific performance category. This leads to significant cost savings in the development as well as in the production process.
It’s a little known fact, but USGA and R&A performance regulations mean golf ball designers are somewhat restricted with what they can do performance wise. There’s only so much speed (i.e. launch/distance) we can put into a design and still be conforming, so that tends to limit the designers a little when pushing the development of the core and mantle layers. Our design process focused heavily around aerodynamic performance (fluid dynamics more specifically) particularly Magnus and aerodynamic force & the subsequent effects on lift and drag.
For a golfer, this translates into three important performance criteria – launch angle/ball speed, distance and spin/feel.
MATERIALS
We’ve independently tested Seed and results confirm Seed balls compare favourably with the major brands.
Balls have been tested with a robotic swing machine and with groups of ‘real’ golfers. Swing parameters were set to identical for each Swing Robot Test and Real Golfers were given multiple shots with each ball, with results averaged. Balls have also been tested at the USGA Performance Lab and undergone extensive factory testing.
All area’s of performance have been considered with design integrity and performance consistency being key. Testing involves collecting data from numerous parameters included external parameters such as set up, club specifications, swing type, attack angle, swing plan, weather and launch conditions.
