Alignment aids come in all shapes and sizes, many applied after the fact with a marker. But not every golfer sees—or processes—those visuals the same way.
POLKA is Seed’s latest take on alignment, built around a simple idea: visual perception isn’t one-size-fits-all.
Instead of a single line or graphic, POLKA features a series of dots placed around the entire circumference of the ball, creating a continuous alignment system that works with how you see the line. For some, dots provide a clearer, softer visual cue than a solid line—helping improve focus, aim and confidence over the ball.
The full-wrap design allows you to set your line more naturally, while also offering immediate feedback on your stroke. A pure roll will present a smooth, consistent pattern, while any misalignment or face angle issues will show up as disruption or “wobble” in the dot sequence after impact.
It’s a different way of seeing your stroke—and understanding it.
Inspired by the iconic polka dot jersey of the Tour de France, POLKA is available in three distinctive versions: Green Dot, Black Dot, and Shamrock.
Same performance. Different perspective.
Durable & Reliable. This BALL is long!
Low compression core for more feel and control. Surlyn cover for durability. This ball won’t break the bank. And it’ll last (at least until you lose ’em.) So forget about the one's you find. Playing the same ball for every shot will guarantee lower scores.
About seed balls
Seed golf balls are designed in conjuction with DesignCORE and EngCORE from our base at the South Eastern Technoligal Universty (SETU) in Ireland.
DESIGN
Premium, professional quality golf balls are really difficult to make.
And that usually means they’re expensive.
At Seed, our products are developed by a small team of industry experts, young designers and experienced engineers. We focus on a core product range, offering maximum performance for the best value around.
We are obsessed with lowering the cost of premium balls, no doubt about that, but we’re just as obsessed with performance. It’s one of the reasons our SD-01 was named as the Official Ball of the PGA EuroPro Tour. We make every effort to provide the best possible value for you, within an proven design concept.
Choosing the right ball can be confusing, so rather than offering ten (or twenty) different golf ball models, we focus on the best model for a specific performance category. This leads to significant cost savings in the development as well as in the production process.
It’s a little known fact, but USGA and R&A performance regulations mean golf ball designers are somewhat restricted with what they can do performance wise. There’s only so much speed (i.e. launch/distance) we can put into a design and still be conforming, so that tends to limit the designers a little when pushing the development of the core and mantle layers. Our design process focused heavily around aerodynamic performance (fluid dynamics more specifically) particularly Magnus and aerodynamic force & the subsequent effects on lift and drag.
For a golfer, this translates into three important performance criteria – launch angle/ball speed, distance and spin/feel.
MATERIALS
We’ve independently tested Seed and results confirm Seed balls compare favourably with the major brands.
Balls have been tested with a robotic swing machine and with groups of ‘real’ golfers. Swing parameters were set to identical for each Swing Robot Test and Real Golfers were given multiple shots with each ball, with results averaged. Balls have also been tested at the USGA Performance Lab and undergone extensive factory testing.
All area’s of performance have been considered with design integrity and performance consistency being key. Testing involves collecting data from numerous parameters included external parameters such as set up, club specifications, swing type, attack angle, swing plan, weather and launch conditions.
